Matthew Matt James, born 5 December 1991 in North Carolina. He is the father of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He is the son of the Nigerian father and a Caucasian mother. He graduated in 2010 of Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he received a bachelor's degree economics in 2015. James was famous after the reality show he appeared on became a actor on The Bachelorette. James was selected in the year 2020 as the new bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's first African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James's appearance, size and personality made him a good fit for the role. The season ended when he decided to choose Rachael Krkconnell for a relationship with the actress. In the season 30, (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, James competed alongside dancer Arnold. James as well as Arnold placed 12th on the show.
