Singer and songwriter John Denver touched millions of people. He also achieved the status of a superstar through his pop-folk songs based on folk, most of which were based in Colorado. In the year 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's first inductee. He is now Colorado's international image. When you encounter people from other nations, for instance New Zealanders, and they tell them "I am from Colorado" then they immediately respond with "Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads is the only Denver Top 10 Hit as a Solo Artist after working in small Folk Music Groups. The song was composed with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear an early version of the song and realized it was going to be an instant hit in the top 10.
